Description

This listing includes two authentic, mid-20th-century (c. 1940s–1950s) handmade utility quilts. Both pieces showcase classic American folk-art patterns and traditional hand-stitched construction.

• Red & White "Birds in the Air" Variation: A bold, graphic quilt measuring 86in x 82in. It features a sawtooth-style triangle motif and straight-line hand quilting. This piece is a generous size, suitable for a Full or Queen-sized bed.

• Condition: Features visible red dye migration (color bleed) onto the white sections and some light age-related yellowing. The structure remains sturdy.

• Blue & White "Sawtooth Border" with Paisley Reverse: A charming blue utility quilt featuring a striking contrast between the geometric top and a vintage paisley print backing.

• Condition: Shows signs of "tender" fabric with several pulls and a small tear on the paisley side where the batting is visible. These areas reflect its history of use and add to its authentic vintage character.
